IMPORTANT NOTICE: Part-D and Medicare Advantage plans will no longer be offered in 2025
A: You’d probably not be surprised to learn that quality ratings for Part D and Medicare Advantage plans can be found at
www.medicare.gov. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) use a five star rating system to categorize these plans as Excellent (5), Above Average (4), Average (3), Below Average (2) or Poor (1). The star system is not used for Medicare Supplement plans.
You might be surprised that CMS also uses the same star rating system for nursing homes, hospitals, home health services and dialysis facilities. Make sure you are receiving the quality you deserve. Price is important but it isn’t everything.
